What you're looking at
My station runs a satellite ground station alongside everything else: a pair of yagi antennas (2 m and 70 cm) on a rotator, steered automatically to follow small satellites as they cross the sky, and a software-defined radio that records each pass. It's part of SatNOGS, a volunteer network of ground stations that listen to satellites and share what they hear.
Each recording comes with a waterfall: frequency runs left to right, time runs top to bottom, and the satellite's signal is the bright trace that drifts sideways as the Doppler shift changes over the pass. A pass is marked good when that trace is really there. Where the satellite sends data the station can decode, the decoded frames are shown too, including the callsigns of hams relaying through it.
The antennas are shared with my own operating. When I'm using them, the station pauses and booked passes are skipped, so not every pass in the list will be recorded.
